Need Your Help on Allen County Early History - Writing a Novel
I would appreciate your help and insights on early Allen County.
I am writing a novel about my ancestors from Switzerland in 1710, through the French and Indian War/Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812. The ancestor now under research is Jacob Crites, one of the founders of Allen County in 1842. Charles Crites (his brother) settled in German Township in 1839.
To be accurate in my story, I need to learn as much as possible about life in Allen County between 1820 and 1900. If anyone can help me or point me in the right direction, it would be highly appreciated.
